About the Project
2019 has already gotten off to a unique start.
Why is that? I was recently contacted to engage with a large baptist church outside of Nashville, Tennessee to assist in their rebrand. While I typically work within the corporate pace, this project has allowed me to explore unique design theories and perspectives in distilling who they are as a church (or in the corporate world… as a brand).
They not only needed a new logo, but they needed Brand Guidelines, a Website and other marketing assets.
Brand Guidelines
After the logo was produced, my goal was to evaluate where Shelbyville Mills Baptist Church was as a church and then help guide them into this new and exciting phase going forward. The image below is just a sampling of the whole Brand Guidelines that was produced. As with any successful and engaging brand, the proper use of color and mood was important in how they were going to be portrayed to their local community and beyond.
Brand Manual
Their Brand Manual was the next step in our website production phase. Before we even hit the ground running on the actual design of their site, we sat down and provided artistic direction and recommendations for site design and layout. We had spent some time listening to who they were as a church, what their pain-points where, and how we could accomplish their desired rebrand to emulate who they are now. The “Option #1” that you see in the image below is the choice they decided to move forward with.
More To Come
As or right now, we are working through their Sitemap and Wireframes and will soon jump into the actual design phase of our website process. Stay tuned for more insights into our process as we complete each step.
