
About the Project
After reading my recent article on building a niche brand agency, HATTFORD, a friend of mine referred me to one of his connections who was looking for a brand strategist to help in crafting a marketing strategy for his current customer’s advertising retainer in the custom home and kitchen remodeling industry.
My Role
Over the course of several communications discussing the client’s needs and their marketing retainer, I proposed to Shad (the creative director who I was working with) that I spend the first month researching his client’s needs, goals and competition to provide a foundation and framework for the next six months of the retainer.
From my research, I distilled all the data and compiled it into our Marketing Strategy Booklet (example PDF here) that we offer over at HATTFORD. This 15-20 page PDF booklet provides market research on Buyer Personas, C.T.A., Keyword Advertising, Brand Perception, Competitive Analysis, Advertising Schedule, Budget Breakdown and much more.
Key Challenge
Our biggest challenge was providing assistance to a brand that was wanting to double their revenue in the next three years by upping their game in the digital ad space. They were already doing trade-shows and mailers, but they had no online presence or sales funnels in place to secure new cold and warm leads.

While the branding has been adjusted to our HATTFORD brand, this Marketing Strategy Booklet example is very close to what we produced for Shad’s client.
